Hello folks!
First of all I’d like to apologise. Being a bit of a techno-phobe, I thought I’d sent this already but had no idea either what I was doing or how to check it had sent.
I had infact sent the listings to myself and nobody else. Handy.
So after some much needed remedial I.T. training, this will hopefully be a success.
The remainder of Novembers listings.

Thursday 24.11.11 at 20:30 we have Griff and Nikki
Griff and Nikki, two local heroes doing what they do best. Here’s what they have to say.
Born in Manchester, now living in Frome Somerset. God’s country. Spent several years in Liverpool in different bands during the 70′s. Mainly in acoustic bands doing the folk circuit. Spent a bit of time in Paris busking wrecking my throat, pretending to be Joe Cocker until a drunk pissed in my guitar case, a French fight broke out, a woman …screamed, and I took it as a sign that there were pastures new to be explored. Moved to the South West and started up in a band called the Havana Fireflies – check out Myspace site. A couple of great albums with them and discovered I could write songs, got into lyrics and, as they had no singer, realised that I was it. What a band… the boys done good. Then with a band called the Skeeters (mostly the same line-up but with a funky bluesy yen) which, for a time was! a pretty hot outfit that ripped places apart. Still playing with these people. Professor Paul Hartshorn on guitar, Steve Loudoun, vocals, Blair Keltie, drums, Steve Hurd, bass and Nikki Mascall on vocals who joined in 2000. Great 3-part harmonies, solid rhythm section, great material and a penchant for going in different places. Now doing an acoustic duo with Nikki Mascall, one of the finest voices I have ever had the pleasure of being associated with. A leaning towards country music with soul, blues and some soul/ reggae…we play what fits the room. Great vocals from Nikki, not bad harmonies from me and nice two guitar stuff with a lot of slide guitar. It’s good. We’ve come a long way and developed our act and I’m really proud of what we do.
And finally Sunday 27.11.11 we have the wonderful, Zora and the Tatsmiths.
Folk-roots sensation the Tatsmiths burst onto the Brighton music scene in spring 2009. They quickly gained a reputation for their fresh, punky, folk pop sound and their raw, outspoken and often funny lyrics. Fronted by Zora’s powerful, gritty and soulful vocals, the Tatsmiths have been leaving revellers with a lingering earthworm and a rhythm in their step throught the Southeast ever since.
And don’t forget folks! Now that the weather is less than desirable, we here at the Griffin want to give you something to warm the soul. So every Sunday from 13:00 until 17:00 we will be serving pie and mash with peas and gravy. The perfect winter warmer.
And with prices as reasonable as this, who can afford to miss out?
Just a pie and the trimmings, £5.00. A pie and beer £7.00. A pie with cider or fizz is £7.20.
Beautiful.
Phew! The P.C isn’t smoking, I haven’t cried yet and I think this has sent to you all!
Hope to see you all soon.
