Now We Are 10!! May 5, 2009 ( in News )

What a fabulous weekend it’s been!

Frome’s ale drinkers were out in force over the Bank Holiday weekend, and aided us in drinking 30 barrels of beer from breweries all over Somerset.  Apart from a few grumbles about the lack of any Milk Street beer on, everyone heartliy worked their way through the guest beers without too much complaint.

Fantastic music shook the Griffin the whole weekend, with Slippery Fish starting the party with a huge crowd on Friday night.  The sun then shone on us during Saturday and Sunday, driving people out into the garden to the bbq. The final day of the festival was a joint jamboree, as owner Rik also celebrated his birthday (although, his was a few more than 10).  With ska music from Boy Le Monti and a live set from Ohead, most kept up the pace until closing time Sunday, breaking the record for busiest Sunday ever.

All the excitement proves too much for certain party go-ers
